I am an artist and I was born in Derbyshire, England. Now I live in Spain and I am inspired by its beautiful landscapes. I have exhibited my works in many parts of the world and have been very successful in the United Kingdom, where I created my paintings both on site and in my own studio.
I also had three galleries where I exhibited and sold my work.
I have taught many people in England, inspiring them to have confidence in their abilities at all levels, and now that I have an art studio in Spain, I am continuing to do this. I paint in watercolor and oil.
My intense desire to reproduce the beauty of nature in my own way is what motivates me to create new works of art.
One aspect of my work that is important to me is that a painting is an expression of beauty rather than a decorative element, which in fact it is, but that it is considered as a unique personal possession by its new owner. Finally, hanging it on the wall makes it its full decorative function.
But we must not forget that painting is a means of expression, communication of ideas and expression of our environment.
Spain has a variety of landscapes and with the arrival of spring, it is amazing how changes in the landscape become the inspiration needed to create magnificent works of art. Without a doubt, in the first place, if we do not have the idea, the reason to start a new work of art, we have nothing. That alone is the human capacity to create a work of art of nature in itself. A gift given and shared so that everyone will see it summarized in oils or watercolors.
